Open Research Week 2025

Throughout the week, you’ll hear about the real world applications and engagement of the Open University's openly available data, outputs, and citizen science platforms. You’ll also hear about open practices that could help you if you want to make your research processes and outputs more open. Whilst some sessions are UK-focused, others will be of interest to researchers and practitioners around the world.

The days of Open Research Week 2025 are allocated the following themes:

Monday 24th - The fundamentals of open research: decisions around data

Tuesday 25th - Collaboration and AI and open education resources

Wednesday 26th - Citizen science showcase

Thursday 27th - Open publishing pathways

Friday 28th - Accessing data
